Yifan Wang is an LA-based Digital Artist who graduated from the Gnomon School of Visual Effects with a BFA, specializing in Creature Characters and 3D Generalization. Yifan's academic journey began in architecture, earning an M.Arch2 master's degree from SCI-Arc. His expertise includes hard surface modeling, digital sculpting, texturing and shading, and photorealistic rendering. His digital art pieces strive to achieve a cinematic representation with intricate details and lifelike quality.

As a 3D Generalist Artist, Yifan excels at creating characters, props, and environments essential for replicating the real world in films and games. He also crafts high-quality color and texture layers for digital assets to ensure realism. He is proficient with top-tier creative tools such as Autodesk Maya, ZBrush, Houdini, Substance Painter, and Mari. For rendering, he employs V-Ray, Arnold, and Redshift to deliver lighting effects that are both creative and narrative-driven. Additionally, he has experience with post-composition and color grading using Nuke and DaVinci.

In his spare time, Yifan enjoys nature photography and exploring the outdoors.
